James Trenton Jordan

James Trenton Jordan, loving father, grandfather, and friend departed this life at the age of 81 on May 12, 2024.

He was born December 27, 1942 in Montgomery County, NC, son of the late Trenton B. Jordan and the late Frances Allen Jordan. When his health allowed, he enjoyed attending the St. David’s Episcopal Church. James was a well-respected educator in the History Department at Scotland High School for many dedicated years until his retirement. He was a talented writer, which led to the publishing of his work. James enjoyed watching television, and loved time spent with his family and the memories they shared.  

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Nicholas Jordan; and brother, David Jordan.

Left to cherish his memory is son, Christopher Jordan and wife, Hilda “Lucia” of Raeford; grandson, Christopher “Gabriel” Jordan; along with his loving extended family and many friends.

The memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024 at St. David’s Episcopal Church with interment following in the church columbarium.
