Jacqueline Deese Obituary

Jacqueline Locklear Deese was born July 22, 1958 in Robeson County, daughter of Mary Rose Locklear Sanderson and the late Dallas Lowery. She worked many years for Abbott Laboratories. She then served the community as a home health worker, where she had a passion for helping others. Jacqueline was a member of Gray Pond Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving as a Sunday School teacher, singing with Praise and Worship team, Social Committee, and with the WMU. She also enjoyed flowers and shopping. Jacqueline most enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She passed away to her Heavenly home, Monday, September 13, 2021 at the age of 63.  

Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Imagene Jones, Donna Sanderson, and Jamie Lowery.

Jacqueline is survived by her husband, Ronald Deese of the home; sons, Terry James William, Jr., George Linden Clark, both of Maxton; daughter, Charlotte Davis (Charles) of Maxton; mother, Mary Rose Sanderson of Maxton; brothers, Edward Lowery (Tarassa) of Lumberton, Jimmy Lowery of Rowland, Johnny Lowery of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Jennifer Locklear (Orson), Rose Mary Sullivan (Randy), Becky Thompson, all of Red Springs, Bonnie Clark (Teddy), Sara Sanderson, both of Maxton, Diane Guevara (Carmello) of Lumberton, Darlene McKenzie (Ashley) of Dillon, SC; grandchildren, LeAndra Davis, Megan Davis, Kenley Davis, Olivia Davis, Samuel Davis, Daisy Oxendine, great grandchild, Addison Jane Brewer, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Gray Pond Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Horace Oxendine. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the church. Due to the current pandemic status, all services will be for family and invited guests only.
