Hilda Howell Norsworthy Williams

Hilda Howell Norsworthy Williams, age 94 of Laurinburg died peacefully in the arms of her daughters, a life well lived.

Hilda, loving daughter of Alex Howell and Louvedah Belch Howell was born January 25, 1925 in Scotland County. She was a devoted homemaker who most of all loved Jesus and her family. She enjoyed collecting unusual objects, loved flowers and going to the beach. Laurinburg and Texas were the places she loved most of all.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Bennie Norsworthy, Herb Williams; daughter, Barbara Zerbe; her grandson, Michael Barrow; brothers, Donald Howell, Clarence Howell, George Howell, Lenox Howell; sisters, Helen Earnest and Hazel Parker.

Hilda is survived by her children, Billie, Johnnie and Clay; sister, Hettie Donwerth; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren. She had a special bond with her granddaughters, Melanie Webb and Heather Barrow and niece, Donna Shaw. She also leaves behind her many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family asks that you join them for a Celebration of her life at 4:00 p.m., Monday June 24, 2019 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.
