Hazel Lowery

Hazel Lowery, age 74 of Laurel Hill passed away to her Heavenly home Wednesday, November 3, 2021.

Hazel was born September 11, 1947 in Scotland County, loving daughter to the late Henry Belton Lowery and Cattie Mae Lowery. She worked as greeter for Walmart for over 10 years in the Laurinburg location, always giving a warm and loving smile. Hazel was a faithful member of East Laurinburg Church of God where she served the Lord in many ways. She dedicated her life to her family and home where she enjoyed crocheting, baking, and canning. To all who knew Hazel, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Mattie Croom, Elizabeth Cribb; brothers, James Belton Lowery, Ronnie Lowery, Fred Lowery, and Everett Lowery.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Joseph St. Romain (Kathy) and daughter, Dana Locklear (Pate); brothers, Clyde Lowery (Effie), David Lowery and sister, Bessie Brooks; grandchildren, Steven Ray Garcia, Donald Heath Scott, Ben McMillan, Jr., Demi Perry, Victoria Hall, Amanda St. Romain; thirteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be at Noon Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Brett Davis and Rev. Harry Clark. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 11:00 until Noon at the funeral home.
