Harry Malcolm Goodwin

Harry Malcolm Goodwin was born May 16, 1945 to the late Johnny “Red” Goodwin and Ruth Kersey Goodwin of Laurel Hill. Harry went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Mr. Goodwin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. However, his greatest enjoyment came from connecting with people. Harry was saved August of 2014 and spent every possible moment from that time until his passing telling others about Jesus.

He is survived by his daughter, Jaclyn Kimbrell (Dale) and their two sons, Jackson Kimbrell and Bryant Kimbrell of Laurinburg; sister, Mazelle Connell (Dale) of Cornelius; niece, Sharon Mullen (Troy) and daughter, Ashley of Fuquay-Varina; nieces, Dana Connell of Charlotte, Paula Venkus (Chris) and sons, Zachary and Matthew of Charlotte; nephew, Sammy Robinson (Kristin) and children, Katelynn, Austin, and Forest of Laurinburg.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Robinson of Laurel Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Harry Goodwin family, P.O. Box 1913, Laurinburg, NC 28353.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at New Beginnings Christian Ministries in Hamlet, NC. Facial masks with social distancing will be required.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Glory Encounters Church on  412 Fairly Street Laurinburg, NC.
