Harry Nelson Clark, age 82 of Laurinburg passed away on January 31, 2026 at Scottish Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
He was born May 20, 1943 in Scotland County, NC, the loving son of the late John William Clark and the late Helen Brown Clark. On January 22, 1977 Harry would marry Betty McArthur Clark, with whom he shared a beautiful life. He was a dedicated twenty-year employee with Campbell Soup Company, in the shipping department until retiring. Harry loved farming, raising goats and other livestock, and was meticulous about his lawncare. He watched NASA programs, enjoyed watching WWE and other professional wrestling, and always tuned into NASCAR races. More than anything, he loved watching old westerns, especially Bonanza.
Harry would help anyone anywhere when they needed him. He would give so much of himself and never wanted any recognition. Harry would do things for others with no expectations of anything in return. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, devoted brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Laura “Laurie” Jacobs; brothers, James Beverly “JB” Clark, Bobby Clark, John Wayne Clark; and sisters, Reita Faye Pickron, Kathleen Campbell, and Linda Clark.
Left to cherish his memory is his adored wife, Betty Clark; sons, Nelson Clark (Amanda), Gene Clark (Margie), Joseph Clark (Katie); daughters, Wendy Clark Dunn (Barry), Carmen Clark; son-in-law, Ron Jacobs; brother, Tommy Clark (Brenda); sisters, Becky Priest (Willie), Wanda Lassiter, Mary Ellen West; grandchildren, Blake, Matt, Heather, Tyler, Candace, Cameron, Courtney, Kassidy, Dalton, Cole, Joseph Patrick “JP”, and great-grandchildren, Rosalie, Gavin, Caleigh, Piper, Brice, Harper, Emerson, Rhett, Sadie, Wesley, Carlie, Kyle, Ivy, Hudson, Chandler, and Finn; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
