Gregory Allen Spry

Gregory Allen Spry, age 58 of Laurinburg passed away on April 26, 2025 in Scotland Memorial Hospital.

Known as Allen, he was the loving son of the late Dorothy “Dot” Lee Butler Roger and Carl Marvin Spry born October 18, 1966.  He was a proud Veteran who served our nation in the United States Navy. Allen had many talents leading him in several career pathways, beginning with the Purdue Farms, then as Trust and Sales Management with Universal Forest, lastly as a Registered Nurse in both FirstHealth Richmond Memorial and Scotland Memorial Hospital until his decline in health.  He was a music lover who enjoyed singing and playing his guitar.  He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davison Motorcycle, fishing and traveling and being the life of the party.  Allen’s greatest joy was time shared with his family and devoted friends.

He is survived by his children, son, Gregory Allen “AJ” Spry II of Fayetteville, NC; daughters, Alexis Danielle Spry of Hope Mills, NC, Anslee Deese Spry of Myrtle Beach, SC, Addison Dalynn Spry of Fayetteville, NC; their mother, Angela Spry-Lucas; father, Carl Spry; sister, Carleen Spry of Chicago, IL; devoted friend, Chastity Sorrell of Rockingham, NC; along with a host of loving extended family and friends.

The celebration of life memorial service with military honors will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 at 6 :00 p.m. in the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel followed by a time of visitation with the family.
