Gloria Jean Taylor Barefoot was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Daughter and wife during her 74 years. She was born July 13, 1947, loving daughter of the late Carl Thomas and Ruby Irene Taylor of Cumberland County-
Gloria Jean worked in Textiles before medically retiring; She enjoyed playing the guitar and crocheting. She was a member of Northwood Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church in Fayetteville. She was very strong in her faith, cherishing her time she spent studying God’s Word and welcomed any chance she got to share it. Her greatest joy was sharing time with her family, extended family and friends who will remember her as a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend- She always felt blessed but her cup runneth over when her grandchildren were born.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Arthur Barefoot, Brother- William Everette Taylor, Sister- Tereasa Dianne Frakes and Brother-Ronald Thomas Taylor-
Gloria Jean is survived by her son, Robert Thomas Barefoot of Raeford, daughter, Lisa Barefoot Howell of Raeford, Grandchildren, Austin Jared Barefoot of Winston Salem and Victoria Katlin Barefoot of Westfield, Brother’s, Gary Carl Taylor (Mary) of Hampton Virginia, and David Ancil Taylor (Judy) of Fayetteville, along with a host of nieces, nephews and her extended loving family.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022 in the Raeford Cemetery.
Family will receive friends following the service at graveside.
