It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gerald “Craig” Robson, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 55 on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
He was born March 25, 1971 in Richmond County, adored son of the late Sue Robson. Craig was a kind, forgiving, funny, sweet, hardworking man who built a life centered around love, connection, and community. Alongside his beloved wife, Jane, he co-owned and operated a successful salon in Charlotte where they created not only a thriving business but also lasting friendships. Craig and Jane shared a deep love for their clients, friends, and their cherished 3 “fur babies” who brought them endless joy.
Craig came from a large, loving family and truly cherished the time he spent with them, as well as with his many friends and loyal clients. He was a natural caregiver with a generous spirit and a personality larger than life. The world feels a little less bright without him. Craig will be remembered for his smile, witty humor, warmth, compassion, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
Craig was preceded in death by his loving wife of 18 years, Rebecca “Jane” Jackson, who passed in September 2025; his grandmother, Mandy Robson, who lovingly raised him; his mother, Sue Robson; aunts Patricia “Trisha” Robson and Jean Coleman; and uncles David Robson, John “Doug” Robson, James “Willard” Robson.
He is survived by his sisters, Jennifer Deese and Angie Roddenberry, aunts Wanda O’Neal, Catherine Robinson, and Libby Hughes; and uncles Jerry Robson and Curtis Robson; along with 20 first cousins and 39 second cousins who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
The family would like to thank Jane and Craig’s caring friends Drew, Karla and Mark for helping him since Jane passed.
A graveside memorial service is being planned for a later date.
