George "Joey" Hall

George Little “Joey” Hall, a cherished son, brother, father, and friend died suddenly on January 24, 2025, at the age of 60.

Born in Rockingham, NC, Joey was a man whose life was marked by dedication, passion, and love for those closest to him. After attending East Carolina University, where he studied Drafting and Engineering, Joey began his professional career as a Draftsman/Engineer for the Town of Cary and later, the City of Laurinburg. He ultimately found his calling as an Engineering Manager in the homebuilding industry. For almost 40 years, Joey worked with unwavering commitment at a company that evolved from Crestline Homes to Champion Homes, leaving a profound legacy of loyalty and excellence. His exceptional work ethic and meticulous craftsmanship were evident in every project he touched, and he mentored many draftsmen who carry his lessons with them today.

Beyond his career, Joey was an avid collector of Star Wars and KISS memorabilia, vintage toys, comic books, and arcade machines. He found joy in attending concerts—especially KISS shows—and indulged in his love for Comic-Con events and movie nights at the theater with his best friend and cousin, Al.  He was often seen at the park near his house, walking or reading a book or sometimes both at the same time!

But above all, Joey’s greatest pride was his daughters—Gabi, Jadyn, Aiyana, and Leyna. His love for them knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment he spent with them. His face would light up whenever he spoke of his girls, and he was endlessly proud to be their father.

Joey is survived by his parents, Mary Baker and CL Hall; his brothers, Dennis and Brooks, and their families; his best friend and cousin, Al Shannon; and his beloved daughters, Gabi, Jadyn, Aiyana, and Leyna.  He was preceded in death by his brother Allen Wayne Hall “Rusty”.  His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his spirit will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing his path.

Joey was a man of integrity, dedication, and love. In honoring his life, we celebrate not only the impact he made professionally, but the kindness and joy he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be profoundly missed, but never forgotten. 

The family will have a visitation only from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.
