George Glendon Clark, Sr. was born April 25,1970 in Scotland County, son of the late James Hubert Clark, Jr. and Flossie Bass Clark. He worked as a mechanic in the tire business and attended Grace Chapel Holiness Church. George was a simple man who enjoyed auto detailing and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his family and eating home cooking. George passed away at the age 52 on June19,2022, and will truly be missed by his family and many friends.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, George Glendon Clark, Jr.; brother, Waylon Clark and sister, Molly Clark.

He is survived by his brother, Rev. Tony Clark (Jan) of Hamlet; sisters, Tammy Matthews of Hamlet, Beverly Hinson (Corky) of Laurel Hill, Dena Perkins of Gibson, Lisa Hinson (Chuck), Elaine Elvis, all of Laurel Hill, Abigail Clark, Anita Dowdy (Glenn), all of Bennettsville, SC, Melody Radford of Laurinburg, Carman Clark of Bennettsville, SC; close friend, Chris McCusker, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Grace Chapel Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A time of visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the church.
