Geneva Locklear Milicia, age 77 of Maxton passed away, Saturday, August 1, 2020.
Geneva, daughter of the late Noah Locklear and Mary Strickland Locklear, was born September 27, 1942 in Robeson County. From early on, Geneva worked in farming with her family, and husband. She enjoyed raising chickens, gardening and watching everything grow that they planted. She was a longtime member of Shoe Heel United Methodist Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Bobby Locklear, James B. Locklear, Odell Locklear, Brenda Locklear, Judy Locklear, Virginia Clark, Cletus Scott and Beulah Locklear.
Geneva is survived by her husband of 56 years, Anthony Milicia of the home; sons, Michael A. Milicia of Maxton, Frank R. Milicia (Danette) of Georgia, Anthony D. Milicia (Lisa) of Morehead City; brother, Dovanell Locklear of Maxton; sisters, Eula Locklear, Edith Locklear both of Laurinburg, Louise Pickelsimer of Georgia, Jeanette Smith of Gibson; grandchildren, Armando A. Milicia, Jonathan Milicia, Joseph Milicia, Meredith Milicia Hall (Blake), and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will have a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Richard Boles Funeral Service. No other services are being planned at this time.
