Gary Frank Lockey

Gary Frank Lockey of Laurinburg departed this life for his Heavenly home at the age of 57 on June 13, 2026.

He was born February 4, 1969 in Scotland County, NC, loving son of the late Frank “Sonny” Lockey, Jr., and the late Sandra Fay Dixon Price. Gary was a valued employee of fourteen years as a mechanic with the City of Laurinburg and formerly of Herman’s Tire Center and Paul’s Tire Service. He loved his church family and served as a faithful member of Northview Harvest Ministries. Gary had an active role helping and loved being involved in many of the church activities. He truly enjoyed a good conversation with just about anyone and he especially loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and the memories they shared. Gary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Glen Monroe Lockey; his grandparents, Frank and Caroline Lockey, and Jack and Marjorie Dixon.

Left to rejoice in his memory is his adored wife of 28 years, Felisa Grooms Lockey of the home; son, Tyler Dixon Lockey; sisters, Charmin Poole (Chuck), Christy Wilkes (Wayne) each of Laurinburg; sister-in-law, Charlotte Webster (Chris); and brother-in-law, Willie Grooms, Jr. (Sandy); along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, at Northview Harvest Ministries followed by burial in Hillside Memorial Park.
