Franklin “Wade” Lupo, age 90 of Aberdeen departed this life for his Heavenly home on Monday, October 13, 2025.
He was born September 15, 1935 in Robeson County, North Carolina, loving son of the late Alfred Edgar Lupo and the late Lola Jane Scott Lupo. Wade was a Veteran who served in the United States Army. He had a strong work ethic, the owner and operator of Lupo Construction Company, where he had a long successful career as a building contractor. Wade formerly served as a deacon of Hillcrest Baptist Church then faithfully serving as a member of the First Baptist Church of Aberdeen. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, along with playing a round of golf. Wade also enjoyed travels to the beach and using his talents as a woodworker. His greatest joy came from time spent with family, especially his grandchildren and the memories they shared. Wade was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Diane Lupo; brothers, Rev. Earl Lupo, William Lupo, David Lupo; and sister, Carolyn Lupo Miller.
Left to rejoice in his memory is his wife, Helen Harding Lupo of their home in Aberdeen; daughters, Sylvia “Diane” Pressley of Aberdeen, Sandra Lynn Murphy (Billy) of Sanford; brothers, Jimmy Lupo of Pinebluff, Gerald Lupo (Jackie) of Raeford, Joseph Lupo (Linda) of Florida; sisters, Rae Bates (Ted) and Marilyn Norris each of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Zachary Pressley, Sarah Pressley Echevarria, Samantha Murphy; and great-grandchildren, Carter Echevarria, Brynlee Echevarria, Micah Pressley, and Ava Echevarria; along with a host of loving extended family and friends.
