Frankie Jean Fehlman Obituary

On November 2, 2023, Frankie Covington Fehlman was called home unexpectedly by her Lord.

She was born, raised, and taught Elementary School in Laurinburg, NC, retiring after 30 years. She attended UNC- Chapel Hill and Fayetteville State University. Fluent in two languages. Everyone called her “Miss Frankie” because of her intelligence, respectability, and class. She loved Laurinburg and its people. Frankie was a loving wife and dedicated mother.

She is survived by her son, Sergeant Kurt Frederick Felhman, Jr., US Army; sister, Kathy Brafford (Mike); brother, David Covington (Sherry).

She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Roosevelt Covington in 2021; mother, Betty Robinson Childress, September 8, 2023.
