Frank Carson Kempf, Jr.

Frank Carson Kempf, Jr, age 71 of Raeford, North Carolina passed away Friday, September 18, 2020.

Frank was born June 17, 1949 in Woodbury, New Jersey, a son of the late Frank Carson Kempf and Grace Hannah Wells Koenig. He was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served in the United States Army. He retired as an electrician with Southeastern Philadelphia Transit Authority after 30 years of service, later retiring from the Hoke County NC Department of Transportation. Frank will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence Weeks and Harold Weeks.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Hays Whitson Kempf of the home; daughters, Sharon Rementer (Mark), Jennifer Cantora (Brad), Linda Kempf, all of Philadelphia, PA; stepdaughter, Dr. Caitlyn Whitson of Chapel Hill, NC; brother, William Weeks of Okeechobee, FL; sister, Mary Meischke of Woodlyn, PA; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, along with a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Shiner’s Hospital.

A family memorial service is being planned for a later date.
