Mrs. Frances McKenzie Taylor, age 83 of Laurinburg passed into her Saviors arms on Sunday, May 31, 2020.
Frances was a loving daughter of the late Carrie Parks McKenzie and Bill McKenzie, born February 9, 1937 in Marlboro County, South Carolina. A Godly woman, she faithfully served the Lord alongside her husband, Rev. Ervin Taylor, and loving raised their children in a Christian home. She retired after many years of service in the cafeteria with the Scotland County School System.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, John Benjamin ‘Ben” Taylor, Jr.; brothers, Russell McKenzie and Albert Willie “A.W.” McKenzie and granddaughter, Sharon Brooke Hill.
Frances leaves behind her devoted husband of 66 years, Rev. John Benjamin “Ervin” Taylor of their home in Laurinburg; son, Timothy Belton Taylor (Pam) of Mt. Gilead and daughter, Becky Sue Taylor Shepard of Mt. Gilead; daughter-in-law, Darlene Taylor of Laurinburg; brother, Eugene McKenzie of Holden Beach; sisters, Carolyn McKenzie Paul of Laurinburg, Martha McKenzie Brown (J.W.) of Florence, SC; her adoring grandchildren, great grandchildren; a host nieces, nephews and her loving family.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Laurinburg Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the funeral home.
