Flora Goodwin Adams

Flora Goodwin Adams, age 87 of Laurinburg passed away January 4, 2022.

Flora was born September 20, 1934 in Scotland County, daughter of the late Vance Goodwin and Josephine Griffin Goodwin. She retired as a seamstress, working many years in the textile industry. She enjoyed crafts and was talented in floral design, ceramics, pottery, and sewing. Her family brought her the greatest joy and she loved spending time with them. She will forever be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Joseph Norris and James Adams; brothers, Robert T. Goodwin, Richard Lee Goodwin and grandchild, Ricky Lynn Lesley.  

She is survived by her sons, David Earl Goodwin, Michael Norris (Carolyn Locklear), all of Laurel Hill; daughter, Lynn Walton; brother, Charles Goodwin of Laurel Hill; sister, Betty Ann Alexander of Missouri; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great-greatgrandchild, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A Memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.  A private interment will be at a later date.

Due to the current COVID-19 status, facial masks with social distancing are required for all services.
