Fannie Bell Luther

Fannie Bell Luther, age 68 of Laurel Hill passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020.

Fannie was born March 26, 1951, loving daughter of the late Enos Spence Luther and Sadie Luther. She retired after many years as the Scotland County Dog Warden and worked in housekeeping for Scotia Village. In her leisure time she loved gardening and caring for animals. Fannie loved her family and cherished the times spent with them.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Mary O. Locklear and brother, Walter Oxendine.

She is survived by her son, Spencer Luther of Laurinburg; daughter, Deborah Luther; brother, Wiley Luther (Geraldine) of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Carrie Luther, Harley Luther; great grandchild, Malani Bell “Deal” Luther, along with a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
