Evelyn Moser Holland

On the evening of May 13, 2025, Evelyn Moser Holland, our beloved mother and grandmother, lovingly known as Haha, entered her Heavenly home at the age of 101 surrounded by her loving family. 

Evelyn was born September 6, 1923 in Stokes County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Brady and Mildred Lane Moser.  She married the love of her life, Strucy “Toots” Holland on November 9, 1937 sharing 40 years of love until his passing.  She was a Godly woman who truly cherished her family.  Along with being a homemaker, she worked in textiles with Charles Craft until retiring. 

For over 50 years, Evelyn served as a faithful member of the Springfield Pentecostal Holiness Church.  She loved cooking for her family and sharing those fabulous ham biscuits with others.  She enjoyed growing flowers and sitting in her front porch rocking chair where she delighted herself and others with good conversation. Haha had a special way of making everyone feel loved and appreciated. She always had a smile and sharing in laughter with others.  Haha leaves a legacy of love to her adored family.  She will deeply be missed by each of them.

Along with her parents and husband, preceding her in death are children, Donald Holland, Thelma Holland Wright, Carolyn Holland Norton; grandson, Billy Graham Norton; brothers, Junior Moser, Harold Moser, Billy Ray Moser; sisters, Frances Glascoe, Betty Foreman, and Bonita Holland.

She leaves behind her sons, Darrell Holland, Danny Holland and wife Linda, each of Laurinburg; daughter, Helen Holland Garrett of Youngstown, OH; sister, Sandra Bobst (Bill) of Columbus, OH; thirteen adoring grandchildren, Wayne Norton, Henry Wright, Tim Wright, Jeff Garrett, Jon Garrett, Chris Holland, Jacob Holland, Brandon Holland, Cheryl Holland, Suzanne Siharat, Marc Prevatte, Tiffany Cheek, Adam Holland; along with a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

The family wishes to extend a special gratitude to the Care Team of Scottish Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Scotland Regional Hospice for the exceptional care, support and love given to their mother. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Woody Byrd.  She will be laid to rest by Mr. Holland in Hillside Memorial Park. The family will have a time of visitation prior to services on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
