Eulah Locklear was born February 5, 1934 one of fourteen children of the late Noah Locklear and Mary Strickland Locklear. She was the loving and devoted wife to the late Carlie Locklear and wonderful Christian mother of eighteen children. She dedicated her life to the care of her family and babysitting for all of her grandchildren. She faithfully served the Lord and was a member of New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and watching her favorite television programs. Eulah was adored by her family and she will truly be missed by each of them. She entered her Heavenly home on February 19, 2021 at the age of 87.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eulah is preceded in death by sons, Earl Locklear, Michael Locklear, Phillip Locklear, along with eleven of her siblings.
Eulah leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Carlie Locklear, Jr., of Charlotte, Don Locklear of Laurinburg, Kenny Locklear (Marie) of Charlotte, Mark Locklear (Amy), Eric Locklear (Teresa), Brian Locklear and Randy Locklear each of Laurinburg; daughters, Linda Hill (Marshall) of Maxton, Vickie Bodiford of White Lake, Reginia Locklear (Gary), Joyce Strickland (Billy Ray), Sylvia Fay each of Laurinburg, Theresa Morgan (Shanley) of Lumberton, Alicia Locklear and Phyllis Locklear each of Laurinburg; brother, Dovenell Locklear of Maxton and sister, Jeanette Smith of Gibson; forty seven grandchildren, sixty two great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of loving family and friends.
Services will be held at graveside 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the Laurinburg Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Brett Davis. A time of viewing will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Richard Boles Funeral Service. Covid-19 restrictions require facial mask with social distancing at all services.
