Eugenia Priest Lamont

Eugenia Priest Lamont was born January 11, 1938 in Scotland County, daughter of the late William McKinnley Priest and Nettie Priest Priest and loving wife of 66 years to the late James Enoch Lamont. She worked many years with J. P. Stevens as an executive secretary. She faithfully served as a member of North Laurinburg Baptist Church where she enjoyed playing the piano. She was an avid Braves fan and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Eugenia was very strong willed, along with a sweet disposition that drew others to her. The greatest joy in her life was spending time with family, especially the grandchildren. Eugenia will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away to her Heavenly home at 83 on April 25, 2021.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Joy Lamont Brooks.

Eugenia leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Debbie Lamont Edwards (Cullen) of Wagram; sons, Jeff Lamont (Annette) of Rockingham, Daniel Lamont of Arapahoe; grandchildren, Kelly Edwards Spence (J T) of Elizabeth City, Kristi Edwards Balduf of Boone, Reagan Lamont of Chattanooga, TN, Kimberly Lamont of Key West, FL, Ryan Martin, Rachel Martin, Nikki Martin, Brittany Knight, all of Rockingham, great grandchildren, Alayna, Tyler, Baby Girl, Kendall on the way, Zoey, Zachary, Leighanne, LaKota, Ellie, Johnathan, Jaston, Taylin, Chayton, along with her extended family and friends. 

A Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at graveside.
