Mr. Ervin Spencer Hill, Sr., age 99 of Laurinburg passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

Ervin was born January 24, 1921 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the devoted husband of 75 years to the late Ann Hart Hill who preceded him in death in 2017. He was a World War II Veteran who proudly served with the United States Navy. He retired after many years of service in management from AT&T. Ervin and Ann enjoyed many years of dancing, traveling and serving as members of the Laurinburg Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a son, Steve Craig Hill.

Ervin is survived by his sons, Ervin “Bill” S. Hill, Jr., (Pam) of Laurinburg, NC, Robert Hill (Paula) of Pensacola, FL; and daughter, Carolyn Mayo (Jim) of Peachtree, GA; daughter-in-law, Clara Harris of California; thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
