Emily Beatrice (Johnson) Davis

Emily Beatrice Johnson Davis, age 85 of Maxton, NC passed to her eternal rest on November 9, 2020.

Emily was a daughter of the late Neal Archie Johnson and Ethel Buie Johnson born August 23, 1935 in Robeson County, North Carolina.   She was a devoted homemaker and loving wife to the late John B. Davis, Jr.  Emily worked in textiles retiring after more than 30 years with WestPoint Stevens, Inc. She was devoted to her faith, an outgoing and giving person who loved cooking and spending time with her family, especially with grandchildren. She will forever be treasured as a precious mother and grandmother who will truly be missed.

Mrs. Davis leaves behind her children, son, Charles Buie and wife JoAnn of Red Springs, NC; daughters, Annese Davis Waddy of Glen Burnie, MD, and Johnita Davis McLaughlin and husband, Earl of Maxton, NC; a sister, Eva Perry of Fayetteville, NC; her grandchildren, Webster F. Mitchell, Jr., (Julianna), Jamal B. Mitchell (Zakera), Jaden Davis Mitchell, and a great grandson, Webster F. Mitchell III.   She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and loving family.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
