On the Lord’s Day, November 7, 2021, Ellen Jane Warriax Holloway, age 69, of McColl, South Carolina was granted her wishes of being home surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully entered her rightful place in Heaven.
Ellen was born on April 20, 1952 in Robeson County to the late Herald “Buddy” Warriax and Flora Mae Jones. Ellen worked at Abbott Laboratories in Laurinburg, NC and later married Randy Holloway. They both loved the ocean and walking on the beach collecting sea shells. Ellen was a devoted child of God, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and best friend. She was blessed with many gifts and talents. She loved to give out of the abundance of her heart.
Ellen was a woman of perseverance and determination. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and would always give God praise for being so good to her. Her favorite song to sing in church was “Power in Prayer”. Ellen was very active in church and could be seen praying and encouraging people in the Lord. She went above and beyond to be a peacemaker and to make her family and friends feel included in everything.
Even though Ellen experienced a lot of illness in her body, it did not stop her from pressing her way to the house of God. The Holy Ghost would rest upon her and she would run in the spirit, sometimes with her eyes closed. She was known for her faith in God and she taught her family not to be afraid of death, but to believe and trust in God. Ellen was a humble servant and made everyone she came in contact with feel loved. She loved the Lord and reading her Bible and it showed. The life she lived for Christ spoke for itself.
She had a special bond with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughter-in-law, and her sons-in-law. Ellen just had that special, unique way of making you feel extra special in her life. That was one of the many blessings of being a part of her life. She also had two fur babies, Rudy and Bell that followed her everywhere she went. They were very protective of her and knew when she was ill. They would lay by her side until she felt better.
Ellen displayed her love by sewing quilts, making crafts, and being a blessing in any way she could. She will be missed dearly, but we are forever grateful for the time we had with her on earth. The last word’s Ellen’s family heard her whisper were, “Thank you Jesus”. We take great comfort in knowing her soul is in Heaven.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her late beloved husband, Randy Holloway; sister, Flora Ellen Warriax Hammonds; brother, Herald “Junior” Warriax.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the memories of her daughters, Tabitha Belt (John), Vickie Dees (Martin), Sherry Norton (Rev. Kevin); sons, Robert Williams (Becky), all of McColl, SC, Mark Williams of Missouri; sisters, Lena Jamerson, Tina Warriax, both of North Carolina, Gina Warriax; sister and best friend, Brenda Stanton of McColl, SC; brother, James Warriax (Mary) of North Carolina, and a great host of devoted grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, friends, church family, and the father of her children, Phillip Locklear.
