Elizabeth Gibson McIntosh

Elizabeth Gibson McIntosh, age 93, passed away on July 16, 2026 at Scotia Village Retirement Community in Laurinburg North Carolina. She was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on November 23, 1932 to Henry Lewis and Ruby Council McIntosh.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Flora McDonald College, after which she went on to earn her master’s degree in Christian Education from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia. She served as Director of Education in several Presbyterian churches in North Carolina.

She is survived by nieces Melissa McRae and husband Gene McRae, Susan Newman and husband Mark Newman, and Henry McIntosh, III and wife Paula Hemmer, as well as many great nieces and great nephews.

A memorial service for Elizabeth will be held at Scotia Village in Laurinburg on Sunday, July 26 from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited.

A private graveside service was held in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
