Elizabeth Dryer Coe

Elizabeth Dryer Coe was born September 24, 1938 in Elmira, New York, daughter of the late Edward H. Dryer, Sr., and Francina Winneogene Kendall Dryer.  She married the love of her life, Gerald Coe on March 25, 1955, they were blessed with three loving children to raise in their Christian home.  Along with being a homemaker, Elizabeth retired after many years from the Scott McRae Automotive Group.  She faithfully served Christ and was a member of Stewartsville Baptist Church.  During her quiet times, she enjoyed crocheting and knitting gifts for her family.  Mrs. Coe will be cherished as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.   She entered her Heavenly home at the age of 82 on March 27, 2021.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Edward H. Dryer, Jr.; sisters, Virginia Wood Diebler and Louise Johnson.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 66 years, Gerald Coe of their home in Laurinburg; sons, Randy J. Coe and wife Lisa of Millersburg, PA; Rev. Rodney G. Coe and wife Brenda of Laurinburg, NC; and daughter, Tammy C. Bretherick and husband Stan of Flowery Branch, GA; a sister, Jean Tower; her adoring grandchildren, Jenny Bretherick, Jana Bretherick, Gerald Robert Coe, Linda Coe, Kimberly Coe, Zachary Coe, Elijah Coe, Nathan Coe, Noah Coe; great grandchildren, Jase Bretherick, Austin Coe, Zayden Coe,  Zayne Coe along with a host of nieces, nephews and loving family.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations are requested to be given in Mrs. Coe’s memory to Stewartsville Baptist Church, 10401 McColl Road, Laurinburg, NC  28352
