Elaine Lambert Obituary

Elaine B. Lambert, 81, of Maxton, North Carolina, entered into her Heavenly home on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Born on October 16, 1944, Elaine was a lifelong resident of the Maxton community and a woman whose life reflected faith, love, strength, and devotion to family. She was a retired P.E. teacher with the Public Schools of Robeson County, where she dedicated many years to teaching and encouraging students.

Elaine was a faithful and dedicated member of Cherokee Chapel Holiness Church, where she loved the Lord and lived her faith daily. She was known for her warm spirit, outspoken personality, and kind heart. Elaine never met a stranger and had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with family, and creating lasting memories with those she loved most.

Above all, Elaine was passionate about her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories that will continue through the generations.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Furnie Lambert, Jr.; her son, Eric G. Lambert, and spouse, Heather Maynor-Lambert; granddaughters, Erika B. Lambert and Ferrin E. Lambert; grandson, Kelton B. Brayboy; five great-grandchildren, Brylee, Dominic, Tylan, River, and Carson; her brother, Gregory S. Bryant; special niece, Hope Hatcher; special nephew, Charles Woods; along with many other family members and dear friends who will deeply miss her.

She was preceded in death by Annie Bell Bryant, Linda Carol Bryant Barton, and Dewayne Bryant.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Cherokee Chapel Holiness Methodist Church followed by burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that Elaine is now resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord she faithfully loved and served.

“Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.”
Proverbs 31:25 (KJV)
