Edna Mae Maness Radford, a beloved lady cherished by her family passed away at the age of 84 on February 1, 2025.
Edna was a loving daughter of the late Charlie Edward Maness and Vater Belle Maness born December 9, 1940 in Scotland County, NC. Along with being a homemaker, she worked many years in textiles with JP Stevens, Inc., later retiring from manufacturing with Pilkington Glass. She served as a member of Southside Baptist Church and loved singing with the Jolly Friends in their nursing home ministry. Although she enjoyed growing flowers and gardening, Edna’s favorites were candles and butterflies. She found her greatest joy in sharing time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Jo Ann Radford and Alexander Howell Radford; grandsons, Kirk Emmanuel Hardy and Randy Eugene Radford, Jr.; brothers, Lindsey Maness and James Maness.
Mrs. Radford is survived by her children, Randy Eugene Radford and wife, Melissa Radford of Marston, Glenda Starr Powell of Wagram, Andy Dave Radford of Wagram; adopted son Aaron McKee; grandchildren, Karri Beth Gaskins and husband Chad Gaskins, Brandon Craig Hardy, Donald Starr Powell, Nina Ann Radford, Jennifer Radford, Aaron Dave Radford, Hunter Gage Radford, Whitney Radford; great grandchildren, Hadleigh Gaskins, Ryker Gaskins, Kayden Hardy, Daylin Powell, Zayden Powell, Tallulah Powell, Dayton Radford, Carter Radford, Emorie Rose Radford; her sister, Brenda Butler and husband Larry Butler of Hazlehurst, GA; nieces, Marie Brown and husband Scott, Angie Olsteen, Vickie Brewer; and a host of loving extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening, February 6, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Thursday beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
