Edna Carolyn McNeil Beasley "Granny", age 83 of Laurinburg passed away to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 2, 2020.
Carolyn was born February 22, 1937 in Dillon, South Carolina, daughter of the late Luke McNeil and Artie Taylor McNeil. She attended Victory Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church as well as Peele’s Chapel Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed shopping with friends, talking on the phone and working puzzles. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert “RC” Deaver.
Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Robert “Bobby” Beasley of the home; sons, Luther “Luke” Bryan Branch (Lillian) of Calhoun, GA, Alfred Keith Branch of Laurinburg, Christopher “Chris” Glenn Branch (Betty) of Laurel Hill, Kevin Wayne Beasley (Angela) of Laurel Hill; sister, Genevieve Carter of Hamer, SC, Gladys Huggins (Sonny) of Myrtle Beach, SC; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Fred Ball. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
