Edith Locklear was born August 3, 1936 and departed this life on November 25, 2020.
She was born in Robeson County, North Carolina to the late Noah and Mary Locklear. After retiring from Toastmaster, she cherished her time spent with her family and many friends. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Hillside Freewill Baptist Church. She was faithful in her many visits to family and friends of Scottish Pines Nursing Center.
Along with her parents, Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Locklear
Edith leaves to cherish her memory her children, Sarah Williams (Tommy) of Laurinburg, Lacy Locklear (Angie) of Wilmington; three adoring grandchildren, Amy Clay, Kristy Kohnen and Ian Locklear; four great grandchildren, Jonathan Locklear, Parker Tilton, Jasmine Lowery and Kaleb Clay; her sisters, Eula Locklear, Jeanette Smith; a brother, Dovernell Locklear and a host of loving nieces, nephews and may friends.
Services to celebrate her Edith’s life will be held at graveside in Laurinburg Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020. Pastor Woody Byrd will officiate the services.
