Eddie Steve Morton

Eddie Steve Morton was born August 20, 1949, son of the late Stephen C. Morton and Evalina Clark Morton.   He enjoyed his life work in landscaping.  Eddie served as a member of the Wagram Church of God and loved listening to the Bible readings.  He cherished sharing time with family, especially with his grandchildren.   Eddie passed away at the age of 71 on October 14, 2020.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Morton, Jr.

Eddie leaves behind his daughter, Kimberly Calhoun of Fayetteville, his grandchildren, Brittiany Miller, Kenneth Calhoun II, Dana Calhoun and seven great grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Morton (Diane) of Laurinburg, Kenny Morton of Laurinburg; sisters, Mary Alice Paul (Archie) of West Palm Beach, FL, Joyce Caulder of Laurinburg, Sharon Lucy Smith of Laurinburg; his special aunt, Ester Wallace, with a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2020 outside on the lawn of Wagram Church of God, officiated by Rev. Ricky Brewer and Rev. Harry Clark.   Due to COVID-19, receiving of friends will also be outside with social distancing and facial mask are required.
