Earlene Douglas Clark was born July 27, 1952 in Scotland County, daughter of the late James Douglas Clark and Lela Clark Taylor. She retired from the Scotland County School System as cafeteria manager after thirty years of dedicated service. Earlene was a lifetime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, faithfully serving her church as secretary, treasurer and financial officer. She had a passion for animals, caring for her many chickens with a special love for Jerry the donkey, and Daisy the cow. Her family will remember her as a loving sister, devoted aunt, and friend to many. Earlene passed away to her Heavenly home at the age of 68 on May 15, 2021.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Cleveland Taylor; brother, Leonard Clark; nephews, Brian Locklear and Kevin Clark.
Earlene leaves behind to cherish her memory, brother, Leo Douglas Clark (Gail); sisters, Hazel Bowen, Rachel Revels, Mable Strickland (Claudie), Betty Locklear (Griffin), and a host of nieces, nephews, including a special niece, Lori Vann (Mark), a very special friend, Mr. Fred Potts, along with her loving family and friends.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Earl Henderson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening, May 20, 2021 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
