Doris Milligan

Doris Bowie Milligan, age 98 of Laurinburg passed away Monday, June 1, 2026. Doris Was born May 10, 1928 in Abbeville, SC. Daughter of the late Olin Aiken Bowie and the late Claudia Simpson Bowie. Doris loved her work in the medical field as a Registered Nurse.

She enjoyed flowers, floral arranging, painting, and earlier years enjoyed working in her yard and gardens. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James E. Milligan; a sister, Katie Virginia Davis.

She is survived by her children, Mike Milligan (Judy) of Pinehurst, Steve Milligan (Lisa) of Warrenton, Kathie Billing (Chuck) of Boone; her grandchildren, Kevin Milligan, Benjie Milligan, Kelly Lewis Milligan, Shayne Milligan, Mallie Billing, and Maggie Billing; great-grandchildren, Ramsey Milligan, Jack Milligan, Ben Milligan, Elise Milligan, Tanner Lewis, Nathan Milligan, Rorie Milligan, Ivy Rose Billing, and Ryann Milligan.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Scotia Village.  The family will receive friends following the service.
