Donald B. Langley, age 88 of Laurel Hill went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
Donald was born May 4, 1932 in Marlboro County, SC, son of the late Isaac Langley and Flora Butler Langley. He was the devoted husband of 46 years to the late Bertha Sparks Langley. He was a proud retired Veteran with 20 years of service in the Army National Guard. He then retired from Campbell Soup Manufacturing. Donald served as a longtime faithful member of Huckabee Grove Emmanuel Holiness Church and always loved sharing the Lord with everyone he met. He enjoyed many sports, especially fishing and softball. Donald was an all-round great man, devoted to his family who was always smiling and giving special hugs to all who knew and loved him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Edmond Langley, Eston Langley, Leroy Langley, Buford Langley; sisters, Eva Royston, Eula Mae Haney and great granddaughter, Camber Jones.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Smith (Donald) of Lake Waccamaw, Donna Davis (Andre) of Pensacola, FL; sister, Mary DiTommasso of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a host of loving nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorial donations may be given to Huckabee Grove Emmanuel Holiness Church, at mailing address, 13501 Fletcher Street, Gibson, NC 28343.
A private family funeral service will be Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Huckabee Grove Emmanuel Holiness Church. A public graveside service with military honors will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Kings Cemetery. A viewing will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. COVID restrictions require facial masks with social distancing for all services.
