Donald Clark of Maxton was born August 6, 1946 to the late Leo Clark and Nelmire Clark. He went home to be with the Lord on September 2, 2020 completing his journey of 74 years.
Mr. Clark enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing and loved to watch NASCAR racing as his favorite racer was the late Dale Earnhardt. He also served as a member of the New Jerusalem Holiness Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Darlene Jacobs; brothers, Clinton Clark, Charles Clark; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Clark and Lilly Clark.
He leaves behind his wife, Isadora Locklear Clark of the home; sons, Marvin Jones and wife, Marilyn Jones of Red Springs, Allen Jones and wife, Amy of Maxton, Patrick Burgess and wife Christina of Virginia; daughters, Diane Clark of Red Springs, Dolores Scott of Red Springs, Janice Barnes and husband, Gene of Maxton, Francine Scott of Maxton; a brother, James Clark and sister, Bill Oxendine and husband Antha; fifteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild as well as a host of relatives and friends.
A private graveside service for family will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the Locklear Family Cemetery. Rev. Ricky Pevia will officiate the service.
COVID-19 Mandate requires facial mask or coverings and attendance for all services will be limited.
