Donald Wayne Caulder

Donald Wayne Caulder, age 68 of Laurinburg passed away on July 7, 2025.

He was born in Scotland County, NC, January 13, 1957, loving son of the late Clifton Downing Caulder and the late Mary Frances Peele Caulder. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed his work as an Engineering Contractor, retiring from Scotland Memorial Hospital after many devoted years. Donald also faithfully attended East Laurinburg Church of God. He enjoyed working on his house and had an amazing talent in woodworking. If it could be built, he could build it. His greatest treasure came from time spent and memories made with family and friends. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Caleb Caulder; and grandson, Noah McAllister.

Left to cherish his memory is his adored wife, Cynthia “Cindy” Polston Caulder of the home; sons, Donald “Chip” Caulder, Jr., (Jessica) of Laurinburg; daughters, Britney Evans (David, Jr.,) of Jefferson, Tara McAllister (Steve) of Laurinburg, Ronnie Seals (Valerie) of Greenville, TN; brothers, Robert “Bobby” Caulder (Kathy) of Greensboro, Greg Caulder (Tammy) of Laurinburg, William “Pete” Clifton Caulder (Cynthia) of Wagram; sisters, Kathy Sue Grooms of Wagram, Becky Deaton (Brett) of Holly Springs, GA; grandchildren, Kayleighonna Caulder, Maddie Mahl, David Thomas Evans, Kambrie Evans, Cynthia McAllister, and Franklin Seals; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025 at East Laurinburg Church of God.   Visitation will be held prior to services on Friday beginning 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the church. 

Interment will follow at a later date. 

Donations are requested to be made in Donald's memory to the East Laurinburg Church of God Building Fund.
