Dennis Patrick Bruen

Dennis Patrick Bruen, son of the late James Gerard Bruen and Eleanor Carlisi Bruen was born February 9, 1943 in Mount Kisco, New York.  He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran stationed in England and Africa during his tour of duty.  After the service, Dennis had a long career as a truck driver, driving for Richards Lumber Company and retiring from Albertsons.  He also served in his community as a volunteer with Emergency Services and the local Police Department.  Dennis was an outgoing gentleman who never met a stranger.  He loved all types of cars, NASCAR racing, hunting, shooting and especially attending airshows.  He treasured his family and their time shared together.  Dennis passed away at the age of 79 on March 31, 2022.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Bruen.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jeri Lee Bruen of their home in Laurinburg, NC; his children, Trudi Phillips of Ipswich, England, Amy Lee Bruen of Ossining, NY, Debra Lee Bruen of Castlerock, CO, Dennis James Bruen of Aurora, CO; step children, Mary LeVan of St. Pauls, NC, Angela Moorehouse of Laurinburg, NC, Linda Culbreth of Lakeland, FL, Steven Moorehouse of Laurinburg, NC; nineteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Michael Malpass..   The family will have a time of visitation prior to services on Thursday beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.     A private interment will be at a later date in New York.
