Denise Kay McNemar, age 61 of Laurinburg passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the East Laurinburg Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson. Burial will follow the service in Hillside Memorial Park.
Born August 17, 1958 in Fremont, Ohio, Denise was a loving daughter of the late Richard and Delores Park DeMars. She was a devoted homemaker and retired in management after many years of service from Bellsouth / AT&T. She served as a faithful member of the East Laurinburg Baptist Church where she most enjoyed singing praises to the Lord. Traveling, cruises, shopping and being with her family were her happiest times. She also loved her pets, playing computer games, card games and making crafts with the grandchildren. She was an avid NASCAR and Ohio Buckeyes sports fan. Denise will always be remembered for her devotion to family, being a precious wife and mother, a wonderful Mamaw, and a loving and caring friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded by grandsons, Cameron and Aiden Stubbs; grandparents, Rubin and Stella DeMars, Howard and Rose Park; sisters, Darlene DeMars and Mary Stepanian Maley.
Denise is survived by her husband of 28 years, William “Mac” McNemar of the home; son, Jacob Blue (Marissa Naumchick) of Port Clinton, OH; daughters, AshLee Swinney (Quinton) of Rockingham; Mallory Stubbs (Chris) of Laurel Hill; Candace McNemar of the home; brothers, Richard DeMars (Patty), Thomas Pieplow, Chris Stepanian and sisters, Judy Bell, Cheryl Campbell (Arthur), Cindy Medlock; brother and sister-in-law, Harry "Bud" McNemar and Sarah of Lake City, FL; her adoring grandchildren, Marissa Swinney, Andrew Swinney, Caleb Swinney, Delilah Swinney, Kaziah Stubbs and a host of nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
