Dema Lois Clark went home to Heaven on September 22, 2025 at the age of 102 years of age.
She was born October 24, 1922 in Chateaugay, New York where she lived most of her life and then in Whipple Ville, NY with her late husband, Walter Herman Clark until his passing. She moved to Laurinburg in 2007 to be with family. She was a beloved farmers wife and homemaker, a precious mother, and grandmother.
She is predeceased by her parents, Ernest Furman and Marguerita Monroe Furman; husband, Walter H. Clark; sons, 1st Lt. Jerry F. Clark killed in Vietnam, and Thomas W. Clark; brother, Karl Furman, and sister, Marcella Cowan.
Surviving are her daughters, Beverly C. Mills and Diane M. Russell both of Laurinburg, NC, and Marlene L. Kourofsky of New York; grandchildren, Terry Mills, Richard Mills, Christine Mills Trombley, Jerry Jay Kourofsky, Shelly Kroufsky Bevan;
great grandchildren, Clark Mills, Floyd Mills, Derrick Mills, Tyler Mills, Melena Mills, Alexandra Mills, and Cameron Mills.
Dema will have an interment service at a later date in the family plot in Chateaugay, NY.
