Delton Ray Clark was born December 18, 1962 in Scotland County to the late Jessie James Clark and the late Nellie Locklear Clark. He worked at Waverly Mills, Phelps Dodge formerly known as Rea Magnet Wire until they closed. He then started his own company D&D Roof Doctor working until his health declined. He enjoyed spending time with his family, but nothing made his heart happier than the time spent with his “Buddy Roll”. He loved that lil boy more than life itself. Dale loved hunting, fishing, Jessie James Clark Racing, and NASCAR, especially a Ford.
Dale passed away February 3, 2026 in Concord, NC. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Frieda Smith Clark of the home; son, Delton Ray Clark, Jr., (Teresa) of the home; daughter, April "Mog" Nicole Clark (Tony) of the home; grandchildren, Aaliyah Nicole Jacobs (Gary), Jordan Ray Jacobs; great-grandsons, Gary A. McLean, Jr., and Major R. McLean, along with a great-granddaughter, Arieyah Karina due in April; brother, Jessie Lee Clark (Sybil) of Maxton; brother-in-law, Andrew Smiling; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
