Debra Louise (Lovell) Locklear

Mrs. Debra Louise Lovell Locklear, age 66 of Laurinburg, NC departed this life for her eternal home on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

The loving daughter of the late Frank Scott and the late Louise Lovell, born on November 24, 1956 in Portsmouth, VA.  Debra was a devoted member of McColl Church of God. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, singing, playing computer games, being outdoors, and was an avid Carolina Panthers fan. Debra dedicated her life to creating a home that was filled with love and belonging, where she most cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and fur babies, Tiny and Susie.  A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will truly be missed.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Frankie Lovell; sister, Lizzie Chavis; and grandchildren, Brent Mason Locklear and Kaitlyn Gwen Redbrook.

Debra is survived by her husband, J.T. “Pete” Locklear of the home; sons, J.T. “Bud” Locklear Jr. (Christy) of Laurinburg, NC, Grier Goins of McColl, SC; daughters, Debra Kay Locklear of McColl, SC, Dora Locklear (James) of Gibson, NC; brothers, Eddie Lovell (Linda) of Laurel Hill, NC,  Russell Lovell of Albemarle, NC; sister, Sharon Marie Lovell Rheuark of Moorehead City, NC; grandchildren, Somer Nicole Locklear (Ray Ray), Darian Reeves, Taylor Goins (Justin), J.T. “Junior” Locklear III, Kayla Marie Redbrook (Haven), Natalie Butler, Savannah Locklear; great-grandchildren, Jalen Smith and Jeremiah Smith; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Services to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Richard Boles Funeral Service chapel with burial following at Hillside Memorial Park. 

There will be a time of visitation prior to the services from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the funeral home.
