David Arthur Bracey, Jr.

David Arthur Bracey, Jr., passed away at the age of 59 on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

He was the loving son of David Arthur Bracey, Sr. and Betty Pierson Bracey, born December 31, 1963 in Augusta, Georgia. David was a graduate of Scotland High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He enjoyed his work as a Medical Coder with the UNC Health Southeastern Medical Center. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, trying new restaurants, and taking family trips traveling to the beach, mountains, and amusement parks to ride all the rides. David was a man of God who loved his church family at North Laurinburg Baptist Church and led his life by faith and helped instill that faith in his family.  

David especially loved spending time with his family and the memories they shared. He and his wife Anna loved sitting outside and watching the hummingbirds. He also enjoyed watching the Carolina Panthers Football Team games with his son, or watching the food network channels and baking desserts with his daughter. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will truly be missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his adored wife, Anna Pierce Bracey of the home; son, David “Trey” A. Bracey, III and wife, Jenna of Laurinburg, NC: daughter, Savanna Bracey of Aberdeen, NC; parents, David “Arthur” Bracey and Beth Bracey of Laurinburg, NC; sister, Amy Bracey Chavis and husband, Benji of Laurinburg, NC; and grandchild, Jensen Bracey; nieces and nephews, Aaron, Ashlan, and Madison Chavis, Mark Eley, Ashley Gibson, Melissa Strickland; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Mary Ruth Pierce; special friend, Noah Lowe; lifelong family friend, Mike Nobles along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel followed by a time of visitation for family and friends.
