Darcy Jay Ely

Darcy Jay Ely loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend departed this life at the age of 62 on December 28, 2025.

He was the loving son of the late David Levi Ely and the late Judy Irene Boyer Ely, born April 19, 1963 in Dimock, Pennsylvania. Darcy proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after many dedicated years.  He took great joy in his work as a truck driver, working for many valued years with XLG Transportation. Darcy enjoyed farming, hunting, and cooking on the grill. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is wife, Claudia McKinnon Ely of the home; sons, Wayne Ely of the home, Orontae McKinnon of Columbia, SC; daughters, Geneva Gray of Burlington, Keisha McKinnon of Orlando, FL, Precious McKenzie of Jacksonville, FL, Britany Crowder of Raeford; brothers, Eric Ely of Pennsylvania, Charles Ely of South Carolina; sisters, Brenda Spadine, Tammy  Bonnice, Vicky Brealey all of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Eris Gray, Veronica Gray, Keishawn McKenzie, Oceaiyanna McKenzie, Kaiden McCleod, Akayla Crowder; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
