Clyde Ronald "Ronnie" Wallace Obituary

Clyde Ronald “Ronnie” Wallace, of Laurinburg passed away at the age 83 on March 18, 2023. 

Ronnie was a son of the late Clyde Hobart Wallace and Velma Ogle Wallace born April 7, 1939 in Knoxville, Tennessee.  He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1957 until 1961 stationed at Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, SC.  Ronnie earned his degree at the Chicago Institute of Engineering leading him to a career as an Industrial Engineering Manager with Stanley Tools in Cheraw, SC retiring after many years of dedicated service.   

In his leisure time, Ronnie enjoyed playing golf, reading and gardening.  Being a licensed pilot and flying was one of his most enjoyed accomplishments and pastimes.  He also served his community as a Mason. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who truly loved sharing time with his family. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Wallace, and sister, Connie Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Watson Wallace of the home; son, Phillip Bowen (Maryann Bowen) of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Michele Oakley of Cheraw, SC, Reca Boltin of Cayce, SC, Amy Bowen of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Lela Oakley, Curtis Simpson, Isaah Simpson, Jacob Simpson, Jason Simpson, Jay Bowen and Park Bowen. 

The celebration of life memorial service with military honors will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.   Family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
