Christy "Hope" Jones

Christy “Hope” Jones of Laurel Hill departed this life at the age of 51 on December 28, 2024.

She was the loving daughter of Peggy Jones and the late Larry Jones, born August 8, 1973 in Scotland County, NC. After high school, Hope worked at Dominos and in textiles while training for military service. She was accepted in the United States Navy, however, due to the Naval base closure in Orlando, Florida, she was discharged following basic training. Following the birth of her daughter, Suzanne, Hope’s health declined requiring nursing care until her passing. She enjoyed her time drawing, completing word search puzzles, and watching her favorite shows, The Andy Griffith Show, Gunsmoke, and M.A.S.H.  Hope was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.

Hope is survived by her loving daughter, Suzanne; mother, Peggy Jones; sisters, Shannon Faith Hackler (Marty), Heather Jones, and Nicole Jones (Mark) each of Laurinburg; niece, Miranda Paige Cox of Red Springs; nephews, William Cox of Maxton, Zachary McDonald of Laurinburg, and Cameron Jacobs of Red Springs; along with her loving family, friends, and family canine, Mavis.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following at Hillside Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held at graveside following the committal service.
