Christina Bogdon Mumford

Christina Lynn Bogdon Mumford, beloved mother and grandmother, devoted daughter, sister and friend, passed away at the age of 51 on July 24, 2024.

Christina was born January 4, 1973, daughter of John William Coye Bogdon and the late Barbara Dimsdale of Scotland County, NC.  Along with being a homemaker, she worked many years in retail customer service.  She loved caring and sharing time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Christina also enjoyed listening to music and sharing time with her friends.  She also had a special love for her pets. 

Preceding Christina in death are her mother, Barbara Dimsdale; grandmother, Odell Sanderson Dimsdale; grandpa, Bill Dimsdale; uncle, Gary “Boo-Boo” Dimsdale; and cousin, Harvey Clark.

Surviving are her children, sons, Charles Richard Mumford III (Ricky) of Hamlet, Chris Bogdon, Chad Bogdon; daughters, Cayla Freeman (Mickey Freeman) of Hamlet, Caitlyn Locklear (Dakota Locklear) of Laurel Hill, Shannon Bost of Hamlet; her father, Coye Bogdon of Laurel Hill; sisters, Chasity Bogdon and Sandi Cheek; grandchildren, Alyssa, Mickey Jr., “Bubba”, Alli Jo, Tacomy “Lil Chief”, Ivory “Lil Squaw”, Everlynn “Peanut”, Louie, Lil Donnie, Cheyann; uncle Dennis Leviner and uncle Richard Leviner, along with a host of extended family and friends.

The visitation for family and friends will be from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.  No other services are planned at this time.
