Charles James “C.J.” Goldson, Jr., of Laurinburg passed away at the age of 51 on November 26, 2024.
C.J. was born June 28, 1973 in Marlboro County, South Carolina, loving son of Charles James Goldson, Sr., and Virginia Thompson Williams. He was a smooth-talking young man with a jovial personality who loved making others laugh. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, enjoyed woodworking and listening to good music. Prior to his illness, he enjoyed his engineering career with the Husqvarna Group. Above all, C.J. loved his family and cherished time shared with each of them. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather, devoted son, brother and a friend to many.
He is survived by wife, Rebecca Goldson of Laurinburg; sons, Devin Douglas (Sydney) of Lincolnton, Christion “Jordon” Goldson of Laurinburg, Nathaniel “Nathan” Goldson of Laurel Hill; daughters, Makayla Goldson of Pembroke, Naomi Goldson of Laurinburg; his parents, Virginia “Dunnie” T. Williams of Gibson, Chuck and Nancy Goldson of Laurinburg; brothers, Troy “Wesley” Dale Manriquez of Gibson; sister, Carol Quick of Laurinburg; step sisters, Linda Robin and Stacey Hall both of Texas; five adored grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
The funeral service celebrating C.J. will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be given to assist with funeral expenses.
