Charles "CJ" Monroe Jordan, Jr.

Charles Monroe Jordan, Jr., known by family and friends as “CJ” passed away at the early age of 20 years old on Friday, September 6, 2024.   He was born November 13, 2003, the adored son of Charles “Charlie” Monroe Jordan, Sr., and Gina Owens Jordan of Bennettsville, SC.  He was a shining light to his family and all who knew him, a precious soul who will forever be missed.

CJ was a graduate of the Marlboro County High School and Northeastern Technical College where he studied in the career field of Electrical Engineering.  He enjoyed his work as a Security Guard with the Arauco Security Management.  CJ loved his time playing video games, hanging out with his friends, spending time with his K9 husky, Jager, and especially helping his dad caring for the animals. 

Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Tina Owens Jordan, Miles Monroe Jordan, Thomas Owens, Harold Jordan, Patricia Sweatt, and Charles Ray Knight.

CJ leaves behind his parents, Charlie and Gina Jordan of Bennettsville, SC; sisters, Jordan Peele of Laurinburg, NC, Catilyn Barnes and brother-in-law, Micheal Barnes of Elizabethton TN; adored nieces and nephews, Grayson Tyndall, Autumn Tyndall, Anakin Blackman, and David Barnes; grandparents, Tommy and Rebecca Owens of Pembroke, NC; his great grandmothers, Joyce M. Owens of Laurinburg, NC and Bobbie Jordan of McColl, SC; and uncle, Thomas A. Owens. He is also survived by a host of loving family, many friends and his devoted K9 pal, Jager.

Funeral services celebrating CJ will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, September 10th at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.   Visitation with the family will follow the service at the funeral home.  A private interment will be at a later date.
