Charles Wayne Hamm, Sr.

Charles Wayne Hamm, Sr. of Laurel Hill, passed away on July 30, 2022 at the age of 67.  He was born on May 8, 1955, in Scotland County, and was the son of the late John Hamm and Louise Bodiford Hamm.  If you asked those who knew him, they would say he was very down to earth, just a good old dude, but he was also set in his ways.  Charles was a truck driver, mechanic, metal scraper, and enjoyed collecting anything and everything.

He is survived by his special companion, Elizabeth Canady of the home; sons, Wayne Busha and Charles Hamm, Jr., of Phoenix, AZ; stepson, Shawn; brothers, Pastor John Raymond Hamm, Jr., (Terry) of Clover, SC and Ronnie Hamm of Raeford; sister, Vicky Canipe of Rockhill, SC; and mother to his children Bernadette Doucette-Sperry of Phoenix, AZ; along with a host of family, friends, and loved ones.  Charles will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 10, 2022 in the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.  Family will receive friends after the service.
